Christians Launch Cinema Ad Campaign

from Reuters

LONDON - Christian churches take to the big screen on Friday to try to boost their congregations.

What has been billed as the UK's first cinema advertisement for Christianity shows a mountaineer, a model, and a soccer player in action before each asks: "Is there more to life than this?"

It aims to boost enrolment on the Alpha course, 10 weeks of informal meetings where participants are invited to make their own minds up about religion.

Britain's church-going population has fallen from six to four million over the last 25 years according to Christian Research, an independent research group.

In other news, in the meantime, Americans have grown increasingly and irrationally theistic and superstitious.
