Israeli Couple Booked for Public Indecency

An Israeli couple, who were married according to the Hindu tradition at the Brahma Ghat of the Pushkar Lake, have been booked for kissing after the ceremony.

The two, Operz Elon and Selev Karmit have been charged with public indecency under section 294 of the Indian Penal Code, on a complaint by a local priest.

The priest, who conducted the ceremony on Tuesday, had asked them to refrain from showing any affection in public during the marriage rite.
