Priest Banned for Referencing Female Genitalia in Virginia Beach Homily

retired Catholic priest was banned from saying mass or performing priestly duties in public after delivering a homily in which he referred to Jesus as having "come out of his mother's vagina."
The Reverend Thomas Quinlan delivered the Christmas Eve homily to two Catholic churches in Virginia Beach in an effort to stress Jesus' humanity.
Quinlan received a letter from Bishop Francis DiLorenzo of the Richmond Diocese last week informing him of the ban. DiLorenzo called Quinlan's remarks crude, offensive and disturbing.
